INTRODUCTION TO THE SCHOOL |
| Nirmala Convent High School is a Christian Institution established and administered by the religious congregation of the Ursulines of Mary Immaculate founded in Italy by Blessed Brigida of Jesus in the year 1649. Blessed Brigida's Vision of education was to impart a sound moral and intellectual education based on Gospel values of truth and social justice, universal love and brotherhood, global peace and forgiveness; to prepare the young people to be fully human and fully alive to the needs of the church, the country and the world at large. To promote holistic development of the students, along with academic activities, the school conducts theme based morning assemblies, celebrates various cultural days and festivals, arranges athletics and sports meet, exhibitions, peace rallies, annual day, fund raising programmes for social cause etc. In addition to these, various clubs like Eco club, Science club, Health club, Literary club etc. are formed and regular meetings and activities are held. Special coaching is given in dance, music, taekwondo (martial Art) and games like Cricket, Basketball, Football, Table Tennis, Carrom, Badminton, Kho-Kho, Kabbaddi etc. The school is equipped with two computer laboratories, Physics, Chemistry and Biology labs, Music room, Indoor games room, Library and an Auditorium. Security of the school is enhanced by the CCTV surveillance of the entire campus. There is a basket ball court, a football ground and a children's park in the campus. |
